The outputs of the wastewater treatment plant’s comprehensive pre-treatment and biological process included coarse screenings, fine screenings and bio-solids. Shaftless screw conveyors were provided with the necessary supports and interconnecting chute work to allow transport of these by-products to a trailer mounted skip for offsite disposal..
“The shaftless screw conveyor technology from Dutch Spiral provides a very effective means for the transport of these by-products. Being centreless, the spirals we use will not block and have the capacity to convey large items without any issues.
A thick UHMWPE liner is employed as a wear strip with multi layered colours so that an operator can visually determine the extent of wear” says John Carroll, Director of Hydroflux HUBER.
Shaftless screw conveyors are used for the transport and conveying of many items, such as wastewater by-products (screenings, grit and sludge) and industrial waste streams. Dutch Spiral have over 30 years’ experience in the design and manufacture of shaftless screw conveying systems.
Hydroflux are the exclusive Australian and New Zealand agent for Dutch Spiral shaftless screw conveyor technology.
